MINT ENERGY PLANNING ASSISTANT
JOB PURPOSE
- Create and submit planning applications
- Liaise with customers and Local Planning Authorities across the UK to achieve consent for wind energy developments.
- Provide high quality administrative support to the Mint Energy Planning Department and logistics teams
ROLE OF DEPARTMENT
- Provide pre-planning advice and support to site surveyors and customers
- Create and submit planning applications
- Liaise with Local Planning Authorities and customers to achieve planning consent
- Purify conditions of planning consent
- Co-ordinate with installations and grid connection departments to arrange wind turbine installations
DETAILED JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The Planning Assistant will be required to:
- Plan and pro-actively manage the administrative support within the Planning Team
- Follow, learn and where appropriate streamline procedures
- Record discussions and decisions accurately and succinctly
- Expected to identify and, with colleagues, resolve problems using tact and discretion
- Ensure that the information provided from internal and external contacts is accurately recorded, processed and, where necessary, circulated correctly and on time to ensure that agreed actions are followed up.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and staff at all levels
- Deal with uncertainty and fluid timescales
- Prioritise and manage work load independently
- Ensure that all tasks and support are performed to a high standard
- Be equally at ease working as part of a team or individually with minimal supervision
- Exercise an excellent telephone manner
- Possess a high standard of written English
- Be willing to adapt and develop the role beyond its current parameters
- Be comfortable and confident in roles of responsibility
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
- IT Literacy
- University Level Education or equivalent experience
- High Standard of written English
- Excellent telephone manner
- Previous experience with filing and information systems
- Track record of delivering project goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High level of organisational skills
- Driving licence preferred
